I would define art as intentional representation of things through the lenses of different feelings and perspectives. Here, we're talking about paintings, but I think that definition stands muster for a lot of creative endeavours. Most of my work is of objects of importance, literal or metaphorical, painted and interpreted to convey certain emotions directly or indirectly associated with them. There is always at least one certain intention behind what is in front of you on the page, but you might not be able to see it.
